The ISH is proud to be one of the partners organising a one-day symposium aimed at early career researchers in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 17 July. The event, Bridging the Generations in Science, aims to share some of the latest discoveries in cardiovascular research, and nurture the next generation of investigators.
Several ISH representatives were in attendance at the ESH Meeting in Milan at the end of this month. Attendees including ISH President George Stergiou, Past President Bryan Williams, Secretary Kazu Kario, and Council Members Erika Jones, Muscha Steckelings and Dagnovar Aristizabal.

The 31st Annual Meeting of the Argentine Society of Hypertension (SAHA) was held in Buenos Aires from 23 to 26 April 2025. Chaired by Dr Diego Fernandez (President, Organising Committee) and Dr Marcelo Choi (President, Scientific Committee), the congress attracted 2,100 registered participants and featured more than 120 presentations of original research.
World Hypertension Day (WHD) will be marked on Saturday 17 May 2025, with May Measurement Month (MMM), established in 2017 by the ISH, running from 1 May to 31 July every year. Both initiatives aim to highlight the importance of better prevention, detection and treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension).
