Introduction from the ISH Secretary and President-Elect
I start this issue with the 30th Congress of the Argentinean Society of Hypertension (SAHA) in Cordoba from 18-20 April, as I am currently traveling back home from this meeting. I was amazed by this super active scientific community and society, with a very rich history and tradition in hypertension education and research. This was a very lively and successful meeting with more than 2,000 participants! Indeed, SAHA has lessons to give to the world on how to develop a strong culture in a hypertension society and maintain its long-term success. And they have life lessons to give, with great wine, food, dancing, and friendship! I personally worked on all of these, and I was pleased to give two ISH awards to young investigators for basic and clinical research which SAHA offers in each annual congress.
