About New Investigator Network
Welcome to The New Investigator Network
The ISH New Investigator Network (ISHNIN) has been established to serve as a platform for interaction between students and new investigators to allow new avenues for communication, collaboration and education.
Joining the ISH allows you to gain enhanced benefits from the network. All new scientists within the Society will be provided with opportunities to interact and build relationships, as well as to gain experience and exposure within the society as they start their scientific careers.
Membership as a Trainee comes at no cost.
New Investigator Committee Mission and Members
The New Investigator Committee (NIC) is charged with encouraging and supporting New Investigator Network initiatives to attract and retain younger members of the ISH. The NIC was established in 2013 to strengthen and further develop network activities and ensure regional representation where possible. Details follow of all current members.
Mission of the NIC
- To promote the interests of new investigators in hypertension research globally by inclusive collaboration, promotion and networking.
Spotlight
The ISH New Investigator Spotlight features outstanding new researchers from around the world. The goal of the spotlight is to provide an international platform to promote these outstanding scientists, learn about their scientific interests/achievements and to tell their personal story.
Events
Since its inception, the ISH New Investigator Committee (NIC) has organised and run annual meetings, free attendance for new investigators and ISH members. These events bring together new investigators from around the globe to present ground-breaking cardiovascular research, share ideas, develop collaborations, interact and build relationships across disciplines and continents.
A successful event took place on 18 September in Cartagena (at the time of the ISH2024 Scientific Meeting) in conjunction with the ISH Capacity Building Network (CBN).

PAST EVENTS: Reconnecting New Investigators at ISH 2022
The ISH New Investigator Committee (NIC) hosted a successful New Investigator Networking Event at the ISH 2022 Scientific Meeting on 12th October 12th. focusing on networking and publishing.

Our Fellows Work
Our Fellows Work was an initiative of the ISH introduced to increase the visibility of the scientific work and findings of new investigators and trainees globally, to provide a platform to increase the reach of our members recent work and to help them develop collaborations and strengthen their scientific networks.
Words of Wisdom
Words of Wisdom was an initiative of the ISH New Investigator Committee. The purpose of the Words of Wisdom was to provide reliable scientific information or advice to new investigators / trainees.
