New Mentorship and Training Committee Chair
The ISH is pleased to announce Lebo Gafane-Matemane as new Chair of the ISH Mentorship and Training Committee (MTC).
Lebo is Associate Professor of Physiology at North-West University, South Africa and a member of the university’s Hypertension in Africa Research Team.
She has been a member of the MTC for the last 3 years.
The ISH would like to thank outgoing MTC Chair Augusto Montezano.
The work of the MTC includes a mentorship scheme, and the committee has developed a successful podcast series on mentoring and career development.
The MTC also helps to run the ISH Capacity Building Network – an initiative offering career development and networking opportunities for early and mid-career researchers and those from under-represented backgrounds.
