Prof Stergiou said: “I am honoured to officially take up position as ISH President. Among my priorities for my term of office, I want to put a strong focus on the role of our Regional Advisory Groups (ISH RAGs). As an international society, they are crucial. I will be working closely with all six new RAG Chairs to increase their impact on the world.

“In addition, blood pressure measurement will be an important theme of my Presidency. Accurate blood pressure measurement around the world is vital for control of hypertension, and I will be initiating ISH activity in this area.”
