At the ISH2024 meeting, Bryan Williams, ISH President 2022-2024, and Dagnovar Aristizabal, ISH2024 Chairman, signed the Cartagena Declaration – a call to action to improve adherence to antihypertensive medications globally.
The declaration highlights the establishment of a World Adherence Day, the first of which will take place on 27 March 2025.

The event will highlight the new Hypertension Canada guidelines with programming for primary care, basic science, and clinical/population science.

The Finnish Hypertension Society organizes the Nordic-Baltic PhD Hypertension Meeting 2025 from October 7-9, 2025, in Rovaniemi, Finland. The Nordic-Baltic PhD Hypertension meeting is held every other year in the Nordic countries, with the aim of strengthening the academic network between the countries, which further enables broader medical collaboration among the Nordic and Baltic nations.
