ISH announces a call to action to improve adherence to antihypertensive medications across the world and the establishment of World Adherence Day
During the ISH 2024 Scientific Meeting in Cartagena, Colombia on 22 September, Bryan Williams, ISH President 2022-2024, and Dagnovar Aristizabal, ISH2024 Chairman, signed the Cartagena Declaration – a call to action to improve adherence to antihypertensive medications across the world. The declaration highlights the establishment of a World Adherence Day which will place focus on the importance of adherence to treatments that prevent disease. The date of this first dedicated day will be 27th March 2025.
