I spent the beginning of this month participating in the China Hypertension Meeting 2024, organised by the Chinese Hypertension League. The ISH had a strong presence at the meeting – both in person and online – and delivered several sessions. Our President George Stergiou gave the plenary lecture whilst in the host city of Kunming, China. Council members Yan Li and Yook-Chin Chia also contributed with ISH lectures and co-Chairs of the ISH Capacity Building Network Niamh Chapman and Dean Picone gave presentations on behalf of the ISH. Read more about the meeting in this month’s e-bulletin.

Earlier this month, the ISH published its third issue of Hypertension News for 2024. A new video from our Mentorship and Training Committee is also highlighted in this edition: it is an interview with Dean Picone, one of the co-Chairs of the ISH Capacity Building Network on his career development and experience with mentorship to date.
