$10,750 donated to ISH by ReCor Medical
The ISH is grateful to announce a donation of $10,750 (US dollars) from the company ReCor Medical, who raised the money through a company-wide initiative called “ReCor on the Move.”
The 90-day initiative started on 17th February 2023 and ended on International Hypertension Day – 17th May 2023. 49 global employees at ReCor Medical walked, cycled, and swam a collective 10,750 miles to raise awareness of hypertension.
President of the ISH, Professor Bryan Williams, said: “On behalf of the ISH, I would like to thank ReCor Medical for this generous donation to the Society following their successful employee campaign.
“We were delighted to learn of their fundraising initiative, and we look forward to putting the funds to good use to help us continue in our work to improve detection, treatment and control of high blood pressure around the world.”
Fundraising activity was led by David Baptiste, Data Manager at the company, who said: “Combining charitable giving with a health-oriented activity is a great way to make a positive impact while also supporting the well-being of employees taking part.”
