25 Sep 2026: An ISH-endorsed initiative to improve hypertension care in Thailand was successfully held in Bangkok last month.

The Hypertension Camp from the Thai Hypertension Society (THS) aims to improve the management of hypertension across different levels of care. It is the fifth time the Hypertension Camp - which is supported by AstraZeneca Thailand - has been held.

This year’s programme brought together more than 70 multidisciplinary healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses and pharmacists across primary to tertiary care hospitals and community pharmacies for scientific exchange and practical discussions on comprehensive hypertension management.

A key highlight of this year’s Hypertension Camp was the launch of a practical guide on establishing NCD (non-communicable disease) centres, and delivering systematic hypertension care in primary care centres.

Participants received certificates presented by Thai cardiologist Praew Kotruchin as ISH representative.
