19 Nov 2025: ISH Treasurer Cesar Romero (USA) represented the ISH at Hypertension Seoul 2025, the annual meeting of the Korean Society of Hypertension, in early November. The theme of this year meeting was “Healthy BP, Healthier Life” and it was attended for more than 800 professionals. He participated in several sessions, including one where he shared original work on the role of the kidney in Cardiovascular-Kidney-Metabolic syndrome and hypertension.
Cesar said: "I was delighted to be part of the KSH meeting, and to connect with colleagues in Korea and the wider region. Key themes at the meeting were hypertension across the lifespans, with focus in young and elderly, new therapeutics developments, and pregnancy related disorders, and a particular highlight of the meeting was the extraordinary technological development in the region with many cuff and cuffless innovative devices that are already available in the Korea and will be soon shared with the world.”

At the meeting, Cesar received a recognition award from Sungha Park on behalf of the Korean Society of Hypertension.
