13 Feb 2026:ISH Members can apply for up to USD 25,000 to support research using Huawei’s novel wearable wrist-cuff blood pressure technology.
The funding call which is supported by a research grant by Huawei is intended for high- quality research projects exploring how novel wearable wrist-cuff BP monitors can be integrated into real-world clinical practice.
The deadline for applications is 10 March 2026 (midnight UK time). Applicants will be notified of the outcome by 30 March 2026.
In 2026, ISH will fund three projects. For each project, USD 20,000 is allocated as clinical research incentive funding, with up to USD 5,000 available to subsidise the purchase of Huawei wearable devices.
Eligibility and requirements
Applicants must be ISH Members and provide evidence of institutional support from their employer.
Associate Members who wish to apply will need to upgrade to full ISH membership before submitting their application. Anyone not currently a Member of the ISH would be eligible to apply for funding following approval of their Membership.
Projects must be completed within 12 months of receiving the initial funding instalment.
Proposals will be evaluated by an independent review panel based on scientific relevance, novelty, feasibility, and potential clinical impact.
Successful projects will be expected to present their results at an ISH Annual Scientific
Meeting and publish findings in PubMed-indexed journals, with appropriate acknowledgment of both ISH and Huawei.
