07 Sep 2026: The ISH is pleased to announce that our 2027 Scientific Meeting will take place in the dynamic city of Shanghai, China, in partnership with the Chinese Hypertension League (CHL). 

The 32nd Scientific Meeting of the ISH (ISH 2027) will be held in conjunction with the Chinese Hypertension Meeting 2027 (CHM 2027) and the 29th International Symposium on Hypertension and Related Diseases.

The meeting will take place from 28-31 October 2027 at Zhangjiang Science Hall in Shanghai, and will bring together clinicians, researchers and other healthcare professionals from around the world to share the latest advances in hypertension research, prevention and treatment.

The programme will be centred around the theme of ‘Innovations for Improving Blood Pressure Control.’.

Nearly one hundred sessions will cover hypertension and its comorbidities, from translational research and digital health to special population management and primary care implementation.

ISH President George Stergiou said: “We are delighted to announce that the ISH 2027 Scientific Meeting will take place in Shanghai. The ISH and the CHL have a strong relationship, and I look forward to seeing the development of what I am sure will be an outstanding international meeting.”

ISH President-Elect Kazuomi Kario, who will serve as ISH President at the time of the meeting, said: “I look forward to welcoming the global hypertension community to Shanghai in 2027. Our ambition is to develop a internationally relevant programme that promotes the exchange of knowledge and strengthens collaborations around the world.”

CHL President Jiguang Wang said: “The Chinese Hypertension League is honoured to partner with the ISH in hosting the ISH 2027 meeting in Shanghai. We look forward to showcasing the work of the hypertension community in China and offering a warm welcome to colleagues joining us from around the world.”
