24 Apr 2025: The 31st Annual Meeting of the Argentine Society of Hypertension (SAHA) was held in Buenos Aires from 23 to 26 April 2025. Chaired by Dr Diego Fernandez (President, Organising Committee) and Dr Marcelo Choi (President, Scientific Committee), the congress attracted 2,100 registered participants and featured more than 120 presentations of original research.).
Internationally recognised faculty joined national experts to highlight recent advances in hypertension science and practice. The ISH was represented by Dr Francine Marques, PhD (National Heart Foundation, Australia), Dr César Romero, MDPhD (ISH Treasurer, USA), and Dr Dagnovar Aristizabal, MD (ISH Council Member, Colombia). A joint ISH–SAHA
symposium on the final day exploredthe mosaic of hypertensionand emerging challenges in diagnosis and management.

Closing Ceremony
At the closing session, ISH representative Professor Francine Marques delivered the Professor Bernardo Houssay lecture, entitled: “The role of the microbiome in human hypertension.”
The 2025 SAHA meeting further strengthened the collaboration and friendship between ISH and the SAHA, reinforcing the shared commitment to advancing hypertension research and patient care throughout the region.
