Deborah David-Ona interview - June New Investigator of the month

Join us in congratulating our June 2017 ISH New Investigator of the month, Deborah David-Ona - Clinical Associate Professor, Section of Hypertension, University of the Philippines, Philippine General Hospital, Manila.

Deborah David-Ona is Clinical Associate Professor, Section of Hypertension, Department of Medicine, University of the Philippines, Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH), Manila, and Consultant, St. Luke's Medical Center, Global City, Taguig, Philippines.

She was the first recipient of the Dr. Aida Baltazar Hypertension Fellowship grant to the UP-PGH, giving her the opportunity of a fellowship under Dr. Haralambos Gavras and Dr. Irene Gavras at the Hypertension and Atherosclerosis Section of the Boston University College of Medicine. 

Since returning to the Philippines, her mainly clinical research has focussed on the pathophysiology, pharmacology, pharmacogenetics and epidemiology of both essential and resistant hypertension.
