The International Society of Hypertension (ISH) promotes and encourages the advancement of scientific research and knowledge and of its application in all aspects of hypertension and associated cardiovascular diseases. The Society offers a number of awards and lectureships at each Biennial Meeting.

ISH New Investigator Oral Presentation Awards
Purpose
These awards will be offered from 2012 to encourage New Investigators and recognise excellence in scientific contribution at the ISH Biennial Scientific Meetings.
Criteria
They will be awarded at the ISH Biennial Scientific Meetings to New Investigators judged from a group of finalists to have given the best oral presentations. Finalists will be selected from among eligible presenters on the basis of the scores of their abstracts allocated to oral presentations.
Eligibility
The presenting and responsible author must be a New Investigator who is undertaking a research higher degree or is within 10 years of graduation with a doctoral or equivalent qualification. Evidence of research higher degree student status or the date of graduation must be provided at the time of submission.

ISH New Investigator Poster Presentation Awards
Purpose
These awards will be offered from 2012 to encourage New Investigators and recognise excellence in scientific contribution at the ISH Biennial Scientific Meetings.
