Over 80 new investigators and senior ISH Faculty members from 26 countries mingled with colleagues and enjoyed the spectacular views of the Milan cathedral during the ISH New Investigator Committee Networking and Mentorship event on 13 June in Milan.

New ASH-ISH Hypertension Guidelines Offer Practical, Clinical Information for Doctor and Patient Around the Globe
The ASH-ISH guidelines have been written to provide a straightforward approach to managing hypertension in the community, for practitioners in low and middle-income countries as well as developed countries.
Here at the University of Glasgow the Institute of Cardiovascular and Medical Sciences organised an event on May 15th 2015 encouraging everyone to have their blood pressure measured and for them to ‘know their numbers’. The event was held at “One A The Square” in the main university building.

The XXII Argentina Arterial Hypertension Meeting took place in the city of Tucumán, in the Northwest of Argentina (1,000 kilometers inland from Buenos Aires), from the 23rd to 25th of April 2015. The National University of Tucumán, one of the oldest and most prestigious of the country, is based in the city.

On 13-17 March 2015, the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) hosted the Biennial World Congress of Nephrology in Cape Town, South Africa. Recognising the close relationship with hypertension, the ISN partnered with the International Society of Hypertension (ISH) to co-host a session on 'Hypertension and the metabolic syndrome: New anthropologic and pathophysiologic insights'.

The course has been organised by Prof. Edgar Nasr (University of Balamand) in collaboration with the European Renal Association – European Dialysis and Transplantation Association (ERA-EDTA) and the ISH and was running from 26th to 28th March 2015.

In this feature, senior scientists in hypertension/cardiovascular disease will be approached to provide the name/details for an article that they are interested in at the moment.
