XVI Latin America Congress and V Central and Caribbean Congress of Hypertension and Cardiovascular Risk Factors
The Joint Congress of the Latin American Society of Hypertension (LASH) and the Central American and Caribbean Society of Hypertension (SCCH) took place from 24-27th October 2018 in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. This was indeed an exciting meeting with an excellent faculty of renowned hypertension specialists. More importantly, this was the first time the LASH-SCCH introduced a young investigators session in their programme.
Investigators from around the world were honoured at the ISH Awards Ceremony and Lectures session during the 27th Scientific Meeting (Hypertension Beijing 2018), which was held in Beijing, China from 20th to 23rd September 2018.
The ISH is pleased to announce the winners of the 2018 awards as follows.
Thank you all of you who have supported May Measurement Month (MMM) 2018, a global public blood pressure screening programme led by the International Society of Hypertension (ISH) and endorsed by the World Hypertension League. With the generous support of numerous organisations including national hypertension and cardiac societies, thousands of volunteers from around the world came together for the second time to raise awareness of the issues surrounding raised blood pressure during MMM18.

This year's Networking and Mentorship event was held in the LU restaurant at the Coex convention centre, Seoul, Korea as part of the ISH 2016 Biennial Scientific Meeting. The event was very well attended (over 150 participants) by distinguished guests, ISH council members, senior faculty and junior investigators. Participants originated from 34 countries.

His research interests include pre-clinical imaging using micro-PET/CT and micro-PET/MRI in small animal models, multi-modality image analysis of PET/CT & PET/MRI scans, informatics and computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) in nuclear medicine applications, machine learning for medical imaging, and computer vision for clinical image processing.
