The International Society of Hypertension (ISH) New Investigator Committee (NIC) is working closely with the organisers of the forthcoming APCH 2017, October, Singapore Meeting (13th Asian Pacific Congress of Hypertension) – www.apch2017.org).
To recognise and bring together hypertension future leaders, we will be hosting a New Investigator Meeting Programme on the morning of 6th October (from 09:00-13:00 hrs).
Join us in congratulating our August 2017 ISH New Investigator of the month, Dr. Bhavana Sosale from the Diacon Hospital Center for Diabetes Care and Research in Bangalore, India.
Certificate Course in Management of Hypertension (CCMH) is a joint certification programme designed and implemented by the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) in collaboration with the International Society of Hypertension (ISH), the British and Irish Hypertension Society (BIHS), and the Center for Chronic Disease Control (CCDC).
There is a critical need to establish and support high quality training programmes within low/middle income countries that can enhance the early careers of researchers in the basic science, clinical and public health areas of hypertension. To help meet this need, in 2016 the Society advertised that awards would be made available to mentors and organisations in low/middle income countries with the expertise and resources to offer fellowship training in hypertension disciplines to young investigators.

The 5th ISH New Investigator Symposium on Hypertension and Cardiovascular Disease was held in collaboration with the American Heart Association Hypertension Council in advance of their 2014 Scientific Sessions. Organized exclusively by members of the ISH New Investigator Network the half day symposium featured 14 oral presentations and over 60 posters from the best young scientists in the field of hypertension.
