The International Society of Hypertension (ISH) New Investigator Committee (NIC) and Mentorship and Training Committee (MTC) are working closely with the organisers of the forthcoming APCH 2017, October, Singapore Meeting (13th Asian Pacific Congress of Hypertension) – www.apch2017.org).
To recognise and bring together hypertension future leaders, we will be hosting a New Investigator Symposium on the morning of 6 October (from 09:00-13:00 hrs), followed by a Networking and Mentorship event on the evening of 6 October.
Attendance is welcomed from all investigators (young / new and more senior investigators).
Certificate Course in Management of Hypertension (CCMH) is a joint certification programme designed and implemented by the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) in collaboration with the International Society of Hypertension (ISH), the British and Irish Hypertension Society (BIHS), and the Center for Chronic Disease Control (CCDC).
There is a critical need to establish and support high quality training programmes within low/middle income countries that can enhance the early careers of researchers in the basic science, clinical and public health areas of hypertension. To help meet this need, in 2016 the Society advertised that awards would be made available to mentors and organisations in low/middle income countries with the expertise and resources to offer fellowship training in hypertension disciplines to young investigators.
