    About 10 million people die every year from causes relating to hypertension. Elevated blood pressure is the strongest modifable risk factor for cardiovascular disease worldwide.

    The Lancet Commission on Hypertension Group is a worldwide collaborative initiative with two main goals:

    1. Identify key actions to improve the management of blood pressure, both at the population and the individual level.

    2. Initiate a campaign promoting the adoption of key actions at national levels to reduce the impactof elevated blood pressure globally
