Congratulations to all ISH New Investigator Committee award winners and thanks to all those who joined us at the 3rd ISH New Investigators' Symposium last week in New Orleans. Read on for a short report of this event, a list of the award winners, to view photos and the programme.
The New Investigators’ Symposium was a FREE full day event on 10th September 2013 providing a forum for new scientists and clinicians in training who have an interest in hypertension and cardiovascular disease.
The event was organised and carried out by the ISH New Investigator Committee (NIC) and held in collaboration with the Council for High Blood Pressure Research (CHBPR) of the American Heart Association at the time of their 2013 Scientific Sessions.
A highlight of the event was unquestionably the keynote presentation by Dr. Jane Reckelhoff, Ph.D. Billy S. Guyton Distinguished Professor Director, Women's Health Research Center University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson, USA. Dr. Reckelhoff made a presentation entitled: OMG! From Sequester and Beyond: Am I Going to Make it as a Scientist?
